Set Up Sensitive Comment Monitoring

Administrator access.
You can set up dashboards to monitor sensitive feedback from employees and create alerts for designated people. Monitoring enables you to take action on instances of discrimination or misconduct.
The standard concept names are non-editable, however you can add or remove the monitored words in each concept.
After enabling sensitive comment monitoring, old comments will display as highlighted, but administrators won't receive an alert about them.
  1. Navigate to
    Administration
    .
  2. Select
    Data Settings
    .
  3. Click the
    Sensitive Comments On
     icon.
  4. (Optional) To add keywords, variations, and synonyms to existing concepts:
    1. Select
      Data Settings
      .
    2. Select the
      Sensitive Comments
       tab.
    3. Click the drop-down arrow for the sensitive comment concept to view monitored words and phrases.
    4. Scroll to the bottom of the list, then select a target language and add the monitored word to the concept.
    Workday Peakon Employee Voice (WPEV) detects both stem words and variations or synonyms of stem words in comments. When you add monitored words to existing concepts, WPEV recommends that you add the stem word as the monitored word. Example: Adding the word
    harass
     ensures that WPEV detects comments containing the words
    harassment
     and
    harassed
    . When you're unsure of the stemming of a sensitive keyword, you can add other versions of the keyword to ensure detection by Peakon.
  5. (Optional) To add custom concepts and monitored words:
    1. Select
      Data Settings
      .
    2. Select the
      Sensitive Comments
       tab.
    3. Click
      Add Custom Concept
      .
    4. Add a concept name. Example: Money laundering.
    5. Add monitored words.
    6. Select a language from the
      Target Language
       drop-down list. Add a separate monitored word for each language that employees answer the survey in.
Review these sensitive comment permissions in manager-level access control groups:
  • View sensitive comments
  • Mark sensitive comments
Note that the
View sensitive comments
 permission doesn't disallow access to sensitive comments. Without this permission, managers with comment access will still see sensitive comments, but they won't explicitly display as sensitive.

  • Receive sensitive comment notifications
  • Modify sensitive comments
