FAQ: Why Is the Direct Manager Missing From a Comment's Manager List?

FAQ: Why Is the Direct Manager Missing From a Comment's Manager List?

This can happen for any of these reasons.
  • The manager doesn't have access to comments based on their access control group.
  • The manager doesn't have access to the question set that contains the driver that the employee commented on.
  • The manager doesn't meet the visibility threshold for comments in general, or in the segment context you're in.
  • The manager didn’t manage the employee on the start date of the survey round started during which the employee submitted the comment.
  • The comment is part of a segment that conflicts with another segment that you have access to, and the number of unique employees between the 2 segments is below the threshold your company selected. Example: The direct manager's segment is too similar to their own wider team's segment, as per the
    Unique employees across 2 segments
setting, so you can't access data from their Direct Reports segment. You can still access those comments in their All Reports segment, but the dashboard doesn’t differentiate between which comments come from their direct reports and which come from their wider team.
