How to Use Employee Career Guide (ECG)
Workday HiredScore’s Employee Career Guide (ECG) alerts workers to open positions in their organization that are highly personalized and relevant to their skills and experience. Depending on how your notifications are configured, you can receive recommendations through Microsoft Teams or email notifications.
If you receive a notification and are interested in applying for an open position, you can access the job posting directly through a button in the notification.
- (Optional) Access your Workday profile to enter your skills, job history, and education.Completing these details on your profile enables ECG to give you the most relevant job recommendations.
- To learn more about the open position (depending on whether you receive an ECG email or Microsoft Teams notification):
- Click theView Rolebutton in the email.
- Click theView job descriptionbutton in the Microsoft Teams notification.
Alternatively, if you’re not interested in the position, you can unsubscribe, or clickNot interestedon the Microsoft Teams notification, select a reason, and clickSubmit. Specifying why you’re not interested in a suggested role helps Workday HiredScore’s AI provide more accurate recommendations in the future.If you click to view the position:- The email directs you to theView Job Posting Detailspage for the role.
- In Microsoft Teams, an ECG modal window displays containing the role details.
- If you want to apply for the position and access the application form:
- ClickApplyon theView Job Posting Detailspage.
- ClickApplyon the Microsoft Teams notification.
- Complete the application form and clickSubmit.
Workday sends you a follow-up notification to confirm that you applied for a position.
To ensure you maximize the ECG functionality, you can click the links in the Microsoft Teams notifications to:
- Add information about skills, experience, and education to your Workday profile if it is incomplete.
- Update your preferences such as relocation preferences.
- Visit theCareer Hubto view additional opportunities.
