Example: Track and Customize Upcoming Renewal Notices
This example illustrates how to use the Renewal Notice Date dashboard to identify agreements with upcoming renewal notice periods and customize the displayed date ranges.
You want to proactively manage your organization's agreements by tracking upcoming renewal notice periods. To support this, you need to identify agreements that require manual renewal, focus on those expiring in the next 6 months, and analyze the volume of such agreements by month.
- Enable access to dashboards.
- Upload agreements with renewal notice dates to populate the dashboard.
- Verify data is available for the relevant time periods.
- Link agreement data to the dashboard.
- ClickDashboards.
- Click theExpirationstab.Contract Management and Document Intelligence displays these charts by default:
- Renewal Notice Date, where you can view the number of agreements requiring notice by month.
- Renewal Type, where you can view a breakdown of automatic, manual, and option to renew agreements.
- Upcoming Expiration Date, where you can view the number of agreements expiring by month.
- ClickEdit Query.
- We automatically populate the advanced queries withUpcoming Expiration Date in the next 1 yearandRenewal Notice Date in the next 1 yearfilters.
- On theUpcoming Expiration Datefilter, selectIn the next,6, andMonth.
- ClickAdd Section.
- From theOperational Informationsection, drag and dropRenewal Typeto the newly added section.
- On theRenewal Typefilter, selectIs equal toandManual.
- ClickApply.
We can now view upcoming manual renewal agreements expiring in the next 6 months on the Expirations dashboard and analyze their monthly volume, helping you stay ahead of key renewal notice periods.
