Example: Create a Net 360 Payment Terms Chart

This example illustrates how to create a chart for payment terms and apply filters to view customers with payments due within 360 days.
Your sales team wants to shorten payment terms to improve cash flows and reduce delays in revenue recognition. To help them, you want to create a chart that enables you to identify customers with extended terms, such as net 360, that the sales team can adjust.
  • Enable access to dashboards.
  • Ensure documents with payment terms (example: net 30, net 60, net 360) are uploaded to populate the Payment Terms field automatically.
  • Verify data is available for the current fiscal year.
  • Link customer payments and contract data to the dashboard.

    Documents
    tab, click
    Edit Chart
    .
  3. In the
    Operational Information
    section, select
    Payment Term (Net Days)
    .
  4. Click
    Apply Changes
    .
  5. Click
    Add Filters
    .
  6. In the
    Operational Information
    section, select
    Payment Term (Net Days)
    .
  7. Click
    Add Filters
    .
  8. On the
    Payment Term (Net Days)
    filter, select:
    1. Contains any of
    2. Net 360
You can view payment terms, including net 360, and how many contracts are affected. When you select a bar on the chart, you can find details of the contracts that use those terms.
