Set Up Payroll Agent

You might need to take additional steps to enable this feature based on your organization's subscription service agreement. Your organization is either on the Main Service Agreement (MSA) or the Universal Main Service Agreement (UMSA). To determine your organization's subscription service agreement:
  1. Select your profile avatar on Workday Community.
  2. Select
    Profile
    .

For information about how using agents impacts your Flex Credits, see: Workday Flex Credits Community page.
You can set up the Payroll agent to enable your payroll practitioners to access and use its skills. The Payroll agent provides task assistance, information retrieval, and data summarization through conversational AI.
You can also use the Payroll Agent to analyze new minimum wage rates in American states and Canadian provinces. To use the Minimum Wage Analysis skill, you must configure your tenant so payroll administrators have the necessary permissions to access relevant payroll data.
We recommend that you establish best practices for reviewing, editing, and verifying the accuracy of AI-generated content before use.

  2. Select the
    Unregistered Workday Agent

    Register
    .
You can only register agents in the products your organization has access to.
  4. Select the

    View Security for Agent Skill
report to assist with your agent security configurations. This report shows you detailed information about the agent’s Tools APIs and the respective domain or business process security policies and permissions. At agent runtime, Workday evaluates both user access to the agent and the user access to the APIs the agent is executing as tools.
  9. Click
    Activate
    .
You can access Workday Chat to use the Payroll agent.
(Optional) When you are done with the Payroll agent, you can click

Agent Management Hub
. When you deactivate an agent, the ASU for the agent also deactivates automatically.
