Payroll agent skills include:
- Core Payroll Data Retrieval: Enables the agent to retrieve basic information about workers, pay groups, companies, and more.This skill is required for the operation of other skills.
- Payroll Data Insights: Provides access to payroll knowledge and performs actions for users, involving human intervention when necessary.
- Identify Missing Data and Configuration: Monitors system to to find missing or outdated critical payroll data that requires intervening action from a payroll practitioner.
- Minimum Wage Analysis: Analyzes the impacts of minimum wage rate changes for states in the U.S. and provinces in Canada.

The Payroll agent is available to all Workday Payroll countries:

Limitations
The Payroll agent:
- Uses conversational AI, an evolving technology. Although built and tested for high accuracy, it can occasionally misinterpret questions or present unexpected results. Always review the output, including numbers and commentary. Before acting on the results, verify them against the source of truth.
- Only supports U.S. English.
- Only remembers 20 interactions in a sequence.
Proxy sessions exclude the Payroll agent's functionality.
Some functionalities for the agent's skills are only applicable to specific countries. Example: You can only use the Identify Missing Data and Configuration skill to find and update expiring FLSA worker period calendars for Payroll for the U.S.
