Set Up Identify Missing Data and Configuration Notifications for Workers Missing Payment Elections

Security:
Worker Data: Payroll (Payment Elections)
 domain in the Core Payroll functional area.
Workday automatically sends My Tasks notifications to workers missing payment elections when you:
  • Enable the Identify Missing Data and Configuration skill for the Payroll Agent.
  • Use the agent to initiate the Find Workers Missing Payment Elections job.
By default, Workday sends a notification based on the parent notification type settings configured on the
Payroll
 tab of the
Edit Tenant Setup - Notifications
 task. See Reference: Edit Tenant Setup - Notifications.
You can also:
  • Configure Workday to additionally deliver email notifications to workers missing payment elections.
  • Customize the content of the email notifications that workers receive.
To notify workers with email notifications, you must configure the delivery override before you use the Payroll Agent to identify the workers missing payment elections.
  1. Configure a delivery override for email notifications to workers missing payment elections.
    1. Access the
      Edit Tenant Setup - Notifications
       task.
      Security:
      Set Up: Tenant Setup - BP and Notifications
       domain in the System functional area.
    2. In the
      Notification Delivery Settings
       section, select the
      Payroll
       tab.
    3. In the
      Notification Type
       column, select
      Missing Payment Elections
      .
    4. Select the
      Override Parent Notification Type Settings
       check box.
    5. From the
      Rule
       prompt, select
      Create Notification Routing Rule
      .
    6. Complete the
      Create Notification Routing Rule
       section:
      Option
      Description
      Notification Type Usage
      Select
      Missing Payment Elections
      .
      Channel Frequencies
      Click
      Add
      .
      Channel
      Select
      Email
      .
      Default Frequency
      Select
      Immediately
      .
    7. Click
      OK
      , and then click
      OK
       again.
  2. View the default email template for notifications sent to workers missing payment elections to verify if you want to make any changes.
    1. Access the
      Email Template Behaviors
       report.
    2. Select the
      Email Template Behavior
       column title.
    3. From the
      Value
       prompt, select
      Missing Payment Elections Email
       .
    4. Click
      Filter
      .
    5. Select the
      Missing Payment Elections Email
      Email Template Behavior
       to view email template behavior.
  3. Edit the default email template for notifications sent to workers missing payment elections.
    1. Access the
      Create Email Template
       task.
      Security:
      Set Up: System
       in the System functional area.
    2. Enter a name for the template.
    3. On the
      Create Email Template
       prompt, select
      Missing Payment Elections Email
      .
    4. Click
      OK
      .
    5. Add these rows to the grid:
      Order
      Static or Dynamic Content
      Static or Dynamic Content Prompt
      Text
      1
      Static Content
      Create Static Email Text
       on the
      Static Content
       prompt
      Enter the content you want to display as the header of the notification.

      Create Static Email Text
       on the
      Static Content
       prompt
      Enter the content you want to display as the body of the notification.

      Dynamic Content
      Actionable Link
       on the
      Dynamic Content
       prompt
      N/A
    6. Click
      OK
       and
      Done
      .
  4. Verify that the custom email template you created is now active.
    1. Access the
      Maintain Email Templates
       task.
      Security:
      Set Up: System
       in the System functional area.
    2. In the
      Missing Payment Elections Email
       row, confirm the
      Active
       check box is selected for your custom email template.
    3. Click
      OK
      .
Workers missing payment elections receive both notifications in their Workday Inbox and email inbox if they set up their email address in Workday.
