Set Up Adoption Agent

To register and use agents in the Agent System of Record fully in your tenants, you must opt in to the Universal Main Service Agreement (UMSA). UMSA is required for non-production and production tenants for Workday-Built agents.
  1. Select your profile avatar on Workday Community.
  2. Select
    Profile
    .
  3. On your profile page, select your organization's name, which is beneath your name and next to your job title.
  4. View your
    Subscription Service Agreement
    value. If the value is
    MSA
    , you must opt in to the (UMSA).
Flex Credits are only required for registering and using agents in your Production tenant. You don’t need to sign the Flex Credit and Platform Entitlements Policy to use the Release Impact Analysis skill, as it is only available in your Preview tenant.
You can register, configure, and activate the Adoption Agent in Workday in your Preview tenant using the
Agent Management Hub
to use the Release Impact Analysis skill.
The Adoption Agent is not available in your production tenant because the Release Impact Analysis skill can only evaluate automatically available features that have not yet moved to production.
  1. Access the
    Agent Management Hub
    .
  2. Select the
    Unregistered Workday Agents
    tab.
  3. Click
    Register
    for the
    Adoption Agent
    .
    If you can't access
    Register
    , ensure you have Modify permissions in the
    Setup: Agents
    domain.
    You can only register agents in the products your organization has access to.
  4. Select the
    Confirm
    check box and click
    OK
    .
    Workday moves the
    Adoption Agent
    to the
    Agent Registry
    tab.
  5. Select the
    Agent Registry
    tab and click the
    Adoption Agent
    name.
  6. Click
    Configure Agent
    .
  7. In the
    Status
    column, enable the
    Release Impact Analysis
    skill.
  8. From the
    Available To
    prompt, select the security groups that require access to the
    Release Impact Analysis
    skill.
    Workday evaluates both user access to the agent and to the APIs the agent is executing as tools at runtime. Workday recommends that you evaluate alignment between the security groups in the
    Available To
    prompt and the security groups that have permissions for the tools the agent might execute.
  9. Click
    Activate
    .
Workday enables the
Release Impact Analysis
skill in your Preview tenant. Users in the selected security groups can now access the
Release Impact Analysis
task in the
Adoption Planning
report.
