Generate Impact Analysis Reports

  • Set up the Adoption Agent. See Set Up Adoption Agent.
  • Security:
    Adoption Planning
     domain in the Adoption functional area.
In your Preview tenant, the Adoption Agent uses the Release Impact Analysis skill and the
What's New in Workday
 report to estimate the impact of upcoming automatically available features based on your enabled functional areas and tenant usage.
You can generate release impact analysis reports for functional areas where:
  • You have appropriate security access.
  • There is at least 1 automatically available feature.
You can also generate adoption items directly from the release impact analysis reports.
The Adoption Agent might not return accurate results when accessed through a proxy session.
  1. Access the
    Adoption Planning
     report.
  2. Click
    Generate Impact Analysis
    .
  3. Select a Workday release and functional areas.
    The
    Select Functional Area
     prompt doesn't include functional areas that doesn't have release notes for the selected release.
    The
    Release Notes in Preview
     field displays the number of release notes to be analyzed.
  4. Click
    Generate Impact Report
    .
    Workday analyzes the first 10 release notes.
  5. Click
    Refresh
     to view the output.
    The Adoption Agent might not complete the analysis in a single refresh. When analysis is complete on the first 10 release notes, the Adoption Agent begins analyzing the next 10 release notes.
Workday assigns 1 of these statuses in the
Generated Impact Analysis
 column for each item:
  • Access Blocked
  • Configuration Required
  • No Impact
  • Review Only
  • Testing Recommended
  • Unknown Impact
Workday also provides customized guidance on the impact of the What’s New item on your tenant, available in the
Impact Summary

Workers with access to the
Adoption Planning Hub
 can view release impact analysis reports without having access to the Adoption Agent.
From the
Adoption Planning
 report, you can review and export all impact analysis reports by selecting
Features Releases > Impact Analysis Reports
.

Feature Releases
