Create Distribution Scenarios and Rules
Distribution scenarios enable you to delay job distributions by hours or days. After you create a scenario, you can attach it to a distribution rule. Distribution rules indicate which vendors and vendor groups receive the job.
You can create distribution rules when you activate the job. Workday VNDLY runs the initial distribution when you first distribute the job to a vendor, and not at the time of approval or other statuses.
When you don’t select vendors for a distribution tier, VNDLY sends the job to all vendors.
When you publish jobs for initial distribution, you can choose to distribute:
- To specific vendors or vendor groups
- Manually or automatically
- From the header, select .
- From theVendorssection, ClickVendor Distribution & Groups.
- On theScenariostab, clickCreate New Scenario.
- Enter aScenario Nameand select theConditionsthat you want to apply.
- ClickSave.
- (Optional) On theConfigurationtab, select theSkip Weekendscheck box.
- ClickSave.
- On theDistribution Rulestab, edit an existing rule or clickCreate Rule.
- Complete the task:

You can:
- View new scenarios in the distribution rule.
- Edit the distribution rule to add or delete scenarios.
- Start the job distribution.
You create a new scenario for additional distribution with these values:
