Create Distribution Scenarios and Rules

Create Distribution Scenarios and Rules

Distribution scenarios enable you to delay job distributions by hours or days. After you create a scenario, you can attach it to a distribution rule. Distribution rules indicate which vendors and vendor groups receive the job.
You can create distribution rules when you activate the job. Workday VNDLY runs the initial distribution when you first distribute the job to a vendor, and not at the time of approval or other statuses.
When you don’t select vendors for a distribution tier, VNDLY sends the job to all vendors.
When you publish jobs for initial distribution, you can choose to distribute:
  • To specific vendors or vendor groups
  • Manually or automatically
For additional distribution, you can select a scenario to apply to a distribution rule.
