Reference: Student Registration Statuses

Student registration statuses represent a student's standing in a course section and track the changes on a course registration. These statuses display when a student has:
Registration Status
Description
Registered
Registered for a course section. Workday continues to display this status until the student completes, drops, or withdraws from the course.
Waitlisted
Joined a course or course section waitlist. You can configure Workday to display to students their waitlist position and the total number of students on the waitlist.
Promoted
Registered for a course section after being on the waitlist. Workday updates the status on the existing registration from
Waitlisted
 to
Promoted
, and creates a new registration with a status of
Registered
.
Unregistered
Dropped a course. When students access the Academics profile group of their student profile, Workday:
  • Continues to display the course on the
    My Dropped/Withdrawn Courses
     section on the
    Current Classes
     report. 
  • Won't display the course on the student's
    Academic History
     report or transcript.
Withdrawn
Withdrawn from a course. Students with this registration status will also receive a grade of
W
 for this course.
Completed
Received final grades from the instructor. You can't drop or withdraw a course with this status.
