Concept: Student Competencies
You can track student learning at your institution by associating:
- Competencies with courses and students.
- Competencies with learning outcomes.
Students can earn competencies through:
- Course completion.
- Learning outcomes.
You can associate learning outcomes with competencies using the
Assign
Learning Outcomes to Competency
task (secured to the Manage: Course
Inventory
domain).You set up competencies in Workday HCM. You can associate competencies with courses when
you create or edit a course. When students earn credit for completing a course, they
also earn the associated competencies.
Workday displays the student's competencies on the:
- Competenciesreport on the Academics profile group of the student profile.
- Student's transcript.
