Steps: Override Program of Study Effective Date

Configure the
Program of Study Effective Date Override Event
 business process and security policies in the Student Records functional area.
You can manually override a student's program of study effective date for a program of study record without altering the original declare date. This ensures that students and administrators are able to add programs that were previously restricted by their associated version.
If you don't perform the
Program of Study Effective Date Override Event
, Workday continues using the
Declare Date
 to determine the program of study version.
  1. Access the
    Overview
     report on the Academics profile group of the student profile.
  2. Click
    Request
    .
  3. Access the
    Override Program of Study Effective Date
     task.
  4. As you complete the task, consider:
    Option Description
    Student
    Verify the correct student is displaying.
    Program of Study
    Verify the student’s correct program of study is displaying.
    Current Effective Date
    Verify the student’s correct current effective date is displaying.
    New Effective Date
    Enables you to select the date that represents the intended program version the student should follow.
  5. Click
    Submit
    .
    If you need to revert the record to the previous version, you can rescind the event using standard
    Event Rescind
     processing logic.
Workday initiates the
Program of Study Effective Date Override Event
 business process. When the override is in effect, the
Active Program of Study Record
 displays these fields:
  • Program of Study Effective Date Override Event
  • Effective Date Override
     indicator
If no override is set, these fields don't display.
