Set Up Load Status Policies

You can set up rules to define how Workday determines a student’s load status for:
- Institutional purposes, such as tuition calculation and enrollment verification.
- Financial aid eligibility. See Concept: Financial Aid Attendance Plans.
You can configure load status policies to apply to:
- An academic unit and level. The policy applies to all programs of study in the academic unit and subordinate academic units.
- A specific program of study.
For National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) enrollment reporting, Workday uses the load status policy to calculate enrollment status, based on the configurations in the NSC Enrollment Reporting Outbound integration. See Reference: NSC Enrollment Reporting Outbound Connector.

Workday calculates load status based on the effective load status policy that applies for the student’s primary program of study.
When configured, Workday displays load status on the
Current Classes
and Academic History
reports on the Academics profile group of the student profile. Maintain Federal Student Aid Program Policies. Set up federal student aid rules for your programs of study.
