When you merge source and target records, consider how Workday merges data fields for Financial Aid.
These merge rules apply to student applicant and student prospect records. See Reference: Merge Operations.

All ISIR transactions should display on the parent record after merging, even if they're duplicates. Workday considers ISIRs as duplicates if the SAR ID, Transaction Number, and Federal School Code matches.

Workday moves functionally unique overrides to the target. Two NSLDS overrides are functionally equivalent if they’re both the latest override for their respective student.
When you unmerge records, Workday restores the adverse NSLDS holds to the target and source records. If the NSLDS holds have been resolved on the merged record and you unmerge it, you must resolve the holds again on each record.
