Reference: Merge Rules for Student Applications

When you merge source and target records, consider how Workday merges data fields for student applications.
These merge rules apply to student applicant and student prospect records. See Reference: Merge Operations.

When functionally equivalent and the source and target have values, Workday keeps the source value on the target Student. Workday disconnects the application on the source Student and moves unique values from the source to the target for these fields:
  • Program of Study
  • Anticipated Start Period
  • External Application ID
  • Active Status

When not functionally equivalent, Workday keeps the value on the target if the source and target have matching values. Workday keeps any unique values from the source on the target Student.
