Reference: Merge Rules for Student Applications
When you merge source and target records, consider how Workday merges data fields for student
applications.
These merge
rules apply to student applicant and student prospect records. See Reference: Merge Operations.
Field | Source Value? | Target Value? | Merge Operation | Merge Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Student Application | Yes | Yes | Custom Processing | When functionally equivalent and the source and target have values, Workday keeps the
source value on the target Student. Workday disconnects the application on
the source Student and moves unique values from the source to the target for
these fields:
|
Student Application | Yes | Yes | Custom Processing | When not functionally equivalent, Workday keeps the value on the target
if the source and target have matching values. Workday keeps any unique
values from the source on the target Student. |
Student Application | Yes | No | Custom Processing | When not functionally equivalent, Workday keeps the source value on the target if the
source has value and the target doesn't. |
Student Application | No | Yes | Custom Processing | When not functionally equivalent, Workday keeps the target value if the source doesn't
have value and the target does. |
Applications | Yes | Yes | Custom Processing | Workday moves active student applications to the target when these fields are the
same:
Workday moves all other applications to the target and appends
them. |
Applications | Yes | Yes | Custom Processing | When not functionally equivalent, Workday appends the source value on
the target. |
Applications | Yes | No | Custom Processing | When not functionally equivalent, Workday appends the source value on
the target when the source has value and the target doesn't. |
Applications | No | Yes | Custom Processing | When not functionally equivalent, Workday keeps the target value when the target has
value and the source doesn't. |
Student Note | Yes | Yes | Append | Workday keeps the value on the target if the source and target have
matching values, and appends any unique source value on the
target. |
