Steps: Set Up Application Verifications

You can verify that student applications are accurate and complete according to your institution's requirements.
Application verifications enable you to:
  • Confirm that applicants have completed their action items appropriately.
  • Message applicants about application-related issues.
  • Assign additional action items or waive incomplete action items.
  1. Access the
    Maintain Application Verification Policy
     task.
    As you complete the task, consider:
    Option Description
    Enable Application Verification
    Select to enable users to verify that applications for the selected academic unit and level or program of study are accurate and complete.
    Enable Application Verification Assignments
    Select to enable users to assign applications to themselves or to others for verification using these reports:
    • Manage Application Verification Assignments
    • Manage My Application Verification Assignments
    When you select this check box, the
    Verify Student Applications
     report only displays applications that are assigned to the user for verification. When the check box is clear, the report displays all applications that are awaiting verification.
  2. Edit Domain Security Policies.
    Configure the security policies for these domains in the Admissions functional area:
    Domain
    Description
    Manage: Assignment of Student Application Verification
    Configure the domain to enable access to the
    Manage Application Verification Assignments
     report, which enables managers to assign, unassign, and reassign application verifications.
    To enable the report, you must also select the
    Enable Application Verification Assignments
     check box on the application verification policy.
    Manage: Student Application Verification
    Configure the domain to provide access to the
    Verify Student Applications
     report, which enables verifiers to manage applications that are awaiting verification.
    Self-Service: Assignment of Student Application Verification
    Configure the domain to provide access to the
    Manage My Application Verification Assignments
     report, which enables reviewers to assign or unassign themselves from applications.
    To enable the report, you must also select the
    Enable Application Verification Assignments
     check box on the application verification policy.
  3. (Optional) Access the
    View Application Grouping
     report.
    From the related actions menu of an application pool, select
    Verify Application
    Automatic Assignment
    .
    Configure automatic verifiers for the application pool. You can select from users who have access to the application pool, application grouping, or relevant academic units. When you have multiple automatic verifiers, Workday assigns the verifications evenly and any remainders randomly. If enabled, you, or the verifiers themselves, can reassign the automatically assigned verifications.
    Security:
    • Manage: Application Groupings
       domain in the Admissions functional area.
    • Manage: Assignment of Student Application Verification
       domain in the Admissions functional area.
You can use the
Verify Student Applications
 report or the
Verify Application
 task to verify applications. The
Verify Application
 task is available on the related actions menu of eligible applications.
