Assign Ad Hoc Application Action Items
- The student prospect has an email address or address.
- Security:Manage: Admissionsdomain in the Student Core functional area.
You can manually assign ad hoc action items that you:
- Don't want to assign automatically.
- Want to assign in addition to automatically assigned requirements.
- Want to assign to the application after a preliminary review.
- Access either of these tasks:
- Assign Application Action Item: Assign action items to individual student applications.
- Mass Assign Application Action Item: Assign action items to multiple student applications at the same time.To access this task, clickAssign Action Itemon theFind Student Applicationsreport or theFind Student Prospectsreport.
- As you complete the task, consider:
Option Description Action ItemSelect the action item to assign.Action items with aPublic Action TypeofUpdate Contact Informationaren't available for manual assignments.AssociationsSelect the context of the action item. Workday creates an action item for every instance of the association.Example: A student has 2 applications to different programs at your institution and has attended 4 educational institutions. When you assign a transcript action item and select:- Educational Institution, Workday generates 4 action items (1 for each educational institution). Only a transcript for the specific institution can satisfy the action item for that institution.
- Application, Workday generates 2 action items (1 for each application). A transcript from any of their educational institutions can satisfy the action item for an application.
The classification of the action item determines which associations you can select.Applies ToApplies to theAssign Application Action Itemtask. Select the application the action item applies to.Process DelayApplies to the selective admissions process. Select a process to halt until the requirement is complete or waived.Example: SelectDecisionif the requirement must be met before you can publish an admissions decision.
Workday assigns the action item immediately. The requirement displays on:
- Applicant Home. Ad hoc application action items display before the requirements that Workday assigned automatically.
- TheRequirementsreport on the Application profile group of the prospect profile.
- TheAction Itemsreport on the Action Items and Holds profile group of the prospect profile.
If the prospect already has an application action item with the same association, Workday doesn't assign the action item again.
