- Can a student have more than 1 Work-Study award in an academic period?
- Yes, a student can have multiple Work-Study awards in an academic period. Example: You can allocate 3 institution Work-Study awards and 2 federal ones to a student.
- How does Workday pay Work-Study awards when the student has multiple from different sources?
- Workday pays only 1 Work-Study award at a time. After exhausting the first award, Workday begins paying the next award in the subsequent pay period. Workday processes Work-Study awards in this order:
- State
- Federal
- Institutional
- What happens if a student runs out of Work-Study in the middle of a pay period?
- After exhausting the Work-Study award, Workday costs the remainder to the default costing. If you award additional Work-Study for the pay period, you can use theCreate Payroll Accounting Adjustmentstask to correct the costing, after the payroll completes.
- How can I maintain accurate student award balances when Run Pay Cancel, Cancel Pay Complete, or Create Payroll Accounting Adjustments tasks are aborted?
- You can use theRecalculate Work-Study Award Balancetask to reevaluate payroll results and update student award balances. Security:Process: Run Batch Complete (Pay Complete)domain in the Core Payroll functional area.
- How can I retroactively change the costing allocations for a Work-Study student who turned out to be ineligible for Work-Study after already making a payment?
- Workday treats any retroactive payment paid in the current period as a current period payment. If a retroactive period payment was costed incorrectly, perform a payroll accounting adjustment to correct the accounting.
