Create Work-Study Allocation Sets

  • Create Work-Study allocations.
  • Create job classifications and ensure they're listed on the correct job profiles.
  • Security:
    Set Up: Student Award Items
     domain in the Financial Aid functional area.
You can create Work-Study allocation sets to map job classifications to specific Work-Study allocations. With Work-Study allocation sets, you can use multiple allocations for Work-Study award items. These allocation sets enable you to allocate federal funds for reading, math, literacy, community service, on-campus, and off-campus Work-Study jobs.
  1. Access the
    Create Work-Study Allocation Set
     task.
  2. As you complete the task, consider:
    Option Description
    Job Classification
    Specify or create a job classification.
    Work-Study Allocation
    Specify or create a Work-Study allocation. We use the first job classification and Work-Study allocation combination that meets the job requirements.
    Default Allocation
    Workday uses the default allocation only when none of the job classifications match the allowable companies on the Work-Study allocations.
Configure the Work-Study allocation set to an award item.
