Create Student Work-Study Allocations

Create Student Work-Study Allocations

  • Create a pay component group for Work-Study earnings. See Create Pay Component Groups.
  • Security:
    Set Up: Student Award Items
     domain in the Financial Aid functional area.
You can create costing allocations to define the percentage of a student's Work-Study earnings that the government or institution covers. The employer pays the remainder.
  1. Access the
    Create Student Work-Study Allocation
     task.
  2. As you complete the task, consider:
    Option Description
    Allowable Companies
    Select the company or companies that can support this allocation.
    Allocation Percentage
    Enter the percentage to allocate to the Work-Study fund as whole numbers. Example: Enter
    75
     when the Work-Study fund covers 75% of a student's earnings and the employer covers 25%.
    Pay Component Group
    Select the pay component group that includes the earnings that are eligible for this allocation.
  3. In the grid, configure worktags for Work-Study transactions that involve this allocation. See Concept: Worktags.
Add the allocation to a Work-Study award item. See Create Student Award Items.
