Reference: Key Dates for Pell Load Status Calculations
Date | Description |
|---|---|
Pell Recalculation Date (PRD) | You can set a PRD per semester or module. When a student has a different PRD for each module they’re enrolled in, Workday uses the latest PRD of the relevant period for calculations.
A student’s PRD changes when they register or drop out of courses that have PRDs. Workday uses the Refresh Attendance Plan job to determine the PRD for a financial aid period record. Workday reviews all the Pell eligible courses a student has and then takes the latest starting PRD from them. You can use the Maintain Academic Period Date Controls task to update the PRD. |
Initial Pell Award Date (IPAD) | Workday assigns the IPAD when a student:
Workday assigns IPAD once per award year. Workday updates the IPAD for both manual and automatic packaging but doesn’t update it if the award is imported from a third party service. When a student doesn’t have an instance of a Pell Grant award and therefore no IPAD, Workday uses the current moment for Pell load status calculations. This is to calculate the student’s potential award amount. |
Registration Date for Pell Processing (RDfPP) | The RDfPP is 1 of these dates:
|
Course Section Start Date (CSSD) | Workday uses the CSSD when considering dropped courses.
When a student drops a course before the CSSD, the registration change affects the Pell load status. On the FPRD, Workday saves the load status value as the maximum load status for the term. When the student drops a course, their potential and final load statuses are lower than the maximum, but the student has a chance to regain those units. A full withdrawal is only eligible for Pell load status when the course has passed the CSSD. When you add a course after the FRPD but before the CSSD, that course could potentially fill the deficit and count partially or fully toward the Pell load status. |
Final Pell Recalculation Date (FPRD) | Workday determines the FPRD based on a period to period and student to student basis. FPRD is the latter of these 3 dates:
