Resolve Cost of Attendance Reactions

Resolve Cost of Attendance Reactions

Security:
Manage: Cost of Attendance
domain in the Financial Aid functional area.
You can review students that Workday flagged for manual review according to the cost of attendance reaction policy of their academic unit or program of study. When a student experiences an event that triggers manual review, Workday stops calculating cost of attendance for them until you resolve that reaction.
  1. Access the
    Cost of Attendance Reaction Review
    report.
    Workday displays the
    Exclude Non-Enrolled Students
    check box when you select
    Student
    in the
    Student Type
prompt. When you select the check box, students won't display on the report when they have an
    Academic Period (All)
    load status that is
    Not enrolled
    . Example: A student's load status is
    Full-time
    for the Fall, but
    Not enrolled
for Spring. The student will display on the report for the Fall academic period, but won't display on the report for the Spring academic period.
Workday uses projected enrollment until the
    Actual Enrollment Usage Start
    date.
  2. Click
    View
    for the reaction to review.
  3. (Optional) Click
    Run Cost of Attendance
to calculate cost of attendance for the student for the financial aid award year.
This option enables you to review the cost of attendance results for the student before resolving the reaction. If you run cost of attendance without resolving the reaction, Workday doesn't automatically continue calculating cost of attendance for the student until you resolve the reaction.
  4. Click
    Resolve Cost of Attendance Reaction
    .
Workday resumes calculating cost of attendance for the student.
