You can customize the messages that you create on the
Create Student
Message
task using these methods. Condition Rules
When you use the
Message Type
of Composer Format
, you can add content
that displays conditionally. Example: At the start of an academic period, you send a
message to all nursing students. In the message, you include conditional content that
only displays for first-year students to remind them of a new student orientation event. To add condition rules to your content, highlight the paragraphs
to display conditionally and click
Insert Condition
. You can use
the Create Student Condition Rule
task to configure your own
condition rules. HTML
When you use the
Message Type
of Plain Text or HTML
, you can add
HTML content in the text field, including images. Workday formats the email when you
send it. Merge Fields
You can use merge fields to personalize your student messages. When you send your message,
Workday replaces merge fields with student information. Example: Display the first
name of the recipient in the greeting line.
Workday displays different merge fields based on the
Category
and Use For
you select. To insert merge fields:
