Steps: Create a Layout for an Engagement Printed Item
- Create a custom report for printed items.
- Workday Studio.
Use the custom report that you created to merge the data into the report designer.
You’ll generate a PDF that the mail coordinator can print and send to the student
prospect.
- Find the custom report created for printing items.
- From the related actions of the report, select .Select a prompt value for theHighest Education Test Section (All) for CRFprompt. Example:SAT - Total.
- On theView URLs Web Servicetask, enter these values forWorkday XML:
Option Description RESTClickWorkday XMLand enter the username and password for your Workday tenant. Right-click the page and save as anxmlfile.XSDClickXSD. Right-click the page and save as anxsdfile. - Access Report Designer in Workday Studio.
- Import thexmlandxsdfiles.In theData Explorer, the top-right pane displays information from the custom report:
- Data Source.
- Data Setsincludes the fields in your custom report.
- Access theCreate Business Form Layouttask.You create the BIRT layout.Compose your layout of the report.
- As you complete the task, consider:
Option Description DescriptionEnter a name for the layout.ActiveSelect the check box.Resulting Documentation Expiration OffsetEnter the number of days until the PDF document expires.Report DesignSelect the saved report design file.Apply Report Design Separately to each rowSelect this check box.Workday breaks the data from the report into individual rows, then applies the report design individually to each row of data. Each row generates multiple individual PDF documents, and then merges into a single PDF document. This printing method is useful where each row of data in the report results in a separate page in the PDF.Custom ReportSelect the custom report for the print item.
