programs of study. You can use internal credentials on program of study definitions
and student academic records.
You can only assign internal credentials to programs of study that are able to confer
credentials. You can use the

report to see which categories can confer
credentials.You can also define the external educational credentials that students applying to
your institution have earned. You can use external credentials when processing
student applications and external transcripts.
- Access theMaintain Educational Credentialstask.
- (Optional) Select anInstitution.Workday bypasses theInstitutionfield if you're a single institution. You can only view and modify the educational credentials for the institutions to which you have access.
- As you complete the task, consider:
Option Description NameThe credential earned. Examples: B.S. or Span Health Care Cert.Educational credential names must be unique within each institution. If you have multiple institutions in your Workday tenant, you can maintain educational credentials by the same name for each institution.DescriptionTitles used on transcripts can be general, such as Bachelor of Science, or include the discipline, such as Spanish for Health Care Certificate.Include Type in DescriptionSelect this check box to display the credential type after the credential name in tasks and reports. Example: Bachelor of Science Degree.Educational Credential UsageSpecify when the credential is:- External: Credentials from external educational institutions.
- Internal: Credentials that your institution confers.
Usage CountWorkday displays the number of instances associated with the credential, including:- Programs of study.
- Student external transcripts.
- Educational institution attendances.
- Transcript eligibility rules.
Assign internal educational credentials to programs of study.
