Example: Create Academic Plan Reports to View Planned, but Unregistered Courses

This example illustrates 1 way to view all the students who have academic plans with courses that they haven't registered for in an academic period.
You're the advising administrator for Alma Mater University. You want to view the academic plans of your advisees who aren't going to meet their academic requirements. You create a report to view the academic plans of all the students who haven't registered for their planned courses in the 2021 Fall academic period.
  1. Access the
    Create Custom Report
     task.
    As you complete the task, consider:

    Enter
    Plan Deviations for Fall 2021
    .
    Report Type
    Select
    Advanced
    .
    Data Source
    Select
    Academic Plans
    .
  2. On the
    Edit Custom Report
     task, as you complete the
    Columns
     tab, add these rows:
    Business Object
    Field
    Academic Plan
    Academic Record
    Academic Plan
    Academic Plan
    Academic Plan Periods
    Academic Period
    Academic Plan Periods
    Unregistered or Not Completed Courses in Academic Plan Period
  3. Click the
    Filter
     tab and add a row:
    And/Or
    Field
    Operator
    And
    Academic Plan Periods
    is not empty
  4. Click the
    Subfilter
     tab, and click
    Add
    .
  5. Select
    Academic Plan Periods
     for
    Business Object
     and add these rows:
    And/Or
    Field
    Operator
    Comparison Type
    Comparison Value
    And
    Academic Period
    in the selection list
    Value specified in this filter
    2021 Fall Semester
    And
    Unregistered or Not Completed Courses in Academic Plan Period
    is not empty
  6. Click the
    Prompts
     tab, and select the
    Display Prompt Values in Subtitles
     check box.
  7. Click the
    Share
     tab, and select an option for sharing the report.
Run the report. View the academic plans of all the students with unregistered course work for the 2021 Fall academic period.
(Optional) Add this report to an academic planning dashboard.
