Security:
Manage: Business Views
domain in the System functional area. You can add and union together fields from an underlying business objects to a business view data source to create a comprehensive view of your data.
Adding unnecessary fields can potentially decrease performance.
You can union similar fields together when:
- You configure a business view definition that groups the component business objects using the union functionality instead of the join functionality.
- The fields use the same related business object.
When you union 3 fields and add 1 union field, Workday counts that as 1 added field.
When you union fields, you must select 1 of the individual input fields as the primary input field. Workday uses certain field properties from the primary input field and applies them to the new union output field.
The union field inherits the security domains from all of the input fields. See Concept: Union Fields Security.
