Troubleshooting: Invalid Report Field in Audience Builder
You run into an invalid request error when using a calculated or Workday-delivered field in the
Audience Builder
report. The error states that you must specify a valid report field and that the field isn't valid in Workday Query Language (WQL). You might receive this error during Engagement Builder
report runs, even if the field populates as expected in a custom report or in the audience preview.The user converting the report to WQL is different from the user who runs the query.
- Ensure that the user converting the report to WQL is the same user who runs the query.
You do not have access to the field that you are trying to query.
- Ensure that you have access to the report field.
The Integration System Security Group (ISSG) or Integration System User (ISU) that you’re using for Audience Builder lacks access to the security domains required for the field.
- Check the security directly on the calculated or delivered field.
- Ensure that you grant the ISSG or ISUVieworGetaccess to the relevant domains.
