Troubleshooting: Recruiter Hub

When you enable the Sidebar Navigation (v3) in 26R1, the new Global Navigation Sidebar replaces the existing Recruiting Hub navigation panel.
Because the legacy Recruiting Hub shortcuts were built specifically for that Recruiting Hub navigation panel, they do not automatically appear in the new Global Navigation Sidebar.
This affects both the admin-configured default shortcuts and the recruiter-configured personal shortcuts.
If your legacy admin shortcuts (configured using the
Configure Recruiter Hub Shortcuts
task) do not display in the new sidebar or the new 26R1 Recruiter Hub, you should use the following Hubs Framework features that provide the same functionality.

Action Plan for Admins

  • To add
    Suggested Links
you can use Set Up Hubs to add external links in the hub navigation.
  • To add
    Configurable Cards
you can use the Create Configurable Cards feature to create cards and add external links at the bottom of the cards.
  • For
    Quick Actions
, you can add external links using the Configure Quick Actions Section on the
    Hub Overview
    page.

Action Plan for Recruiters

When you enable the Global Navigation Sidebar, you lose visibility to your personal shortcuts (previously accessible via the
Star
icon). To resolve this, you can use a temporary tool to reconfigure your shortcuts in the Global Navigation Sidebar:
  • Access the
    Configure Recruiting User Shortcuts
    task.
This task will be searchable and read-only for customers using Sidebar Navigation (v3).
  • If you're using Sidebar Navigation (v3), your recruiters should be able to see a read-only list of their old shortcuts. Recruiters can use this list to manually re-configure their shortcuts into the
    Saved
section of the new Global Navigation Sidebar.
  • If you are still using the Uncategorized (v1) or Categorized Navigation (v2), you can use the
    Configure Recruiting User Shortcuts
    task as before.

Quick Tips for Setup

For 26R1, the Global Navigation Sidebar v3 is opt-out. This means that if you have already opted into the Global Navigation Menu Categories feature, Workday automatically enables v3 unless you choose to opt out before the 26R2 release.
For 26R1, the new Recruiting Hub is also automatically available, with no option to opt-out.
  • Make sure to enable the Global Navigation Sidebar v3 to ensure the Recruiting Hub appears under the
    Recruiting
icon. Otherwise, you may only see the old dashboard.
  • Admins can use the Global Navigation Configuration task,
    Configure Recruiting
category to reorder the Recruiting Hub for your users.
  • End-Users can also use the
    Drag and Drop
feature in Global Navigation Sidebar settings (gear icon) to move the Recruiting Hub to the top of the Sidebar.
  • You can also use the
    Pinning
feature in Global Navigation Sidebar to pin the Recruiting Hub for quick access.
