Example: Automatically Decline Remaining Candidates on Close Job Requisition
This example illustrates how to automatically decline all the unhired candidates when you close a job requisition.
As HR Administrator, you now want to close a job requisition that still has several active candidates on these stages of the job application:
- Review
- Screen
You also want all the unhired candidates to have the same disposition reason.
Security:
Move Candidate
domain in the Recruiting functional area.- Access theMaintain Recruiting Dispositionstask.
- Add a row, and theReason:Job Requisition Closed.
- On theMaps tocolumn select:Rejected.
- Select the check box on theDisposition Candidates on Close Job Requisitioncolumn.
- ClickOKandDone.
- Access theJob Applicationbusiness process.
- ClickEdit Dynamic Definition.
- On theReviewtab, add a row to thePossible Dispositionssection.
- On theDispositionsection, selectJob Requisition Closedfrom the prompt.Add the same disposition to thePossible Dispositionssection of theScreenstage.
- ClickOKandDone.
- Access theClose Job Requisitionbusiness process.
- From the related actions menu of theClose Job Requisitionbusiness process, select .
- Under theBusiness Process Stepssection, add a row and these values:

- Access theConfigure Optional Fieldstask.
- SelectClose Job Requisitionon theBy Functional Areaprompt.
- Remove the rowDecline Remaining Candidatesso as to display theDecline Remaining Candidatescheck box on theClose Job Requisitiontask.
When you close a job requisition and you select the
Decline Remaining Candidates
check box, Workday:
- Dispositions all the remaining candidates on theReviewandScreenstages.
- DisplaysJob Requisition Closedas theDisposition Reason.
