Example Steps: Create a SF 50 Conditional Data Display for the AUO Nature of Action
This example illustrates how to capture the value of the
AUO - Current
report field in block 12 (Total Salary) of SF 50, and the value of the AUO - Proposed
report field in block 20 (Total Salary/Award) of SF 50 in a worker's PAR event.You want to tie an Administratively Uncontrollable Overtime (AUO) allowance plan to the
AUO
nature of action in Workday, and set up condition rules so that the AUO percentages display on blocks 12 and 20 of SF 50 when a worker's compensation event triggers a Personnel Action Request
event.- Set up personnel action requests and nature of action data. See Steps: Set Up Personnel Action Request (PAR). For the row you create for the AUO nature of action, configure blocks 12A-12D, 13, 20A-20D, and 21 to display as empty.
- Configure thePersonnel Action Requestprocess as a subprocess of theRequest Compensation Changebusiness process. See Steps: Configure the Personnel Action Request Business Process.
- Create a percent based allowance plan to represent AUO compensation. See Create Allowance Plans.
- Access theMaintain Federal Field Valuestask.Select your administratively uncontrollable overtime allowance plan for theAUOfield.
- Access theMaintain Staffing Field Defaultstask.In thePersonnel Action Requesttab, create a new row for the12. Total Salarygrid.
- SelectCreate Personnel Action Request Condition Rulein theCondition Rulecolumn. EnterAssigned AUO %in theDescription. - Create a new row in the20. Total Salary/Awardgrid.
- SelectCreate Personnel Action Request Condition Rulein theCondition Rulecolumn. EnterProposed AUOin theDescription. Configure the same Rule Conditions as you did for yourAssigned AUO %condition rule, then selectOK.
- SelectReport Fieldin theValuecolumn. SelectAUO - Proposedin the corresponding field.
- SelectOK.
- Run theRequest Compensation Changeprocess for a worker.Edit the worker's AUO allowance plan from 20% to 10%. SelectSubmit. This triggers aPersonnel Action Requestevent, and sends it to the configured user for review as aMy Tasksitem.
- In theMy Tasksitem for the PAR event, select818 - AUOin the5-A and 5-B: Nature of Actionfield in theFirst Actionsection.Blocks you configured to display as empty for the AUO NOA code now display as empty.
- SelectSave for Later.Values don't update in real time, so you must refresh the task.
- Reopen theMy Tasksitem for the PAR event.
