Set Up Time Off Cancellations

You can cancel time-off awards that were granted in error and accommodate employee requests to receive cash awards instead. Workday initiates the
Cancel Personnel Action Request
 process through the
Correct Time Off
 business process. Workday uses this process to rescind Personnel Action Requests (PAR) for time offs.
  1. Edit the
    Correct Time Off
     business process.
    See Edit Business Processes.
  2. Add the
    Cancel Personnel Action Request for Correct Time Off
     service step after the completion step.
When you correct the quantity of a time off request for a time-off award to zero, Workday:
  • Initiates the
    Cancel Personnel Action Request
     process.
  • Updates the Nature of Action (NOA) code in the
    First Action
     section of the PAR cancellation to 001 (Cancellation).
  • Updates the NOA code in the
    Second Action
     section of the PAR cancellation to the code that's associated with the original time-off award request.
  • Rescinds the PAR that's associated with the time-off award.
