Review the setup considerations for account reconciliation in AP&C. See Setup Considerations: Account Reconciliation in AP&C.
You can set up account reconciliation in Adaptive Planning and Consolidation (AP&C) to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records during month-end close.
To set up this functionality, you:
  • Configure roles and security for account reconciliation.
  • Set up the business process to enable approvals.
  • Set up account reconciliation definitions.
  • Prepare, submit, and certify reconciliations.

    business process and security policy.
    1. On the
Who Can Start the Business Process
      section, select the
      Account Reconciliation Preparer
      security group.
    2. Make these selections in the

domain in the Financial Accounting functional area.
  5. (Optional) Access the
    Maintain Custom Validations
    report.
To set up custom validations on fields on supporting balances and reconciling items, select the
    Account Reconciliation Supporting Balance
    or

    transaction types.
  6. Prepare and submit reconciliations for approval.
When a preparer submits a reconciliation for approval, Workday initiates the
Reconciliation Period Event
business process and routes the reconciliation to the assigned approver.
The approver can review the reconciliation, add comments, and certify it or send it back to the preparer for changes.
