Select a Report Source
- An existing Google Sheets report with Adaptive Planning data.

You can use 1 Adaptive Planning instance as the Source for each multi-instance report in Workday for Google Sheets. You can select a parent instance or a child instance that you can access.
Source lists the instances you can access and shows the company name for each instance. Workday still displays Source when you have access to only 1 instance.
Workday populates Source with your default instance. You can select a different instance before you add the first account element. After you add an account element, Workday locks Source for that sheet. You can still view the locked source when you add other elements. Each sheet in the workbook can use a different instance.
Refresh uses the instance that created the report.
If you sign in to Production, Implementation, or Sandbox for the same instance code, Workday refreshes the report. Missing or changed elements behave as a data change in that instance.
If you sign in to a different instance, such as a parent instead of a child, Workday displays an error that the report is connected to a different instance. Workday also displays an error when you open a sheet whose source does not match the instance you signed in to, or when you no longer have access to that instance.
- From the Google sheet toolbar, clickExtensions > Workday for Google Sheets > Workday. The Workday add-on displays.
- In the Workday add-on, from theSourceprompt, select the instance. Workday lists the instances you can access, in the same order as the Adaptive Planning header. Workday populates your default instance.
- ClickBuild Report.
- Add an account element, then add other elements as needed.
- ClickRefresh.
