The exchange rate type is a method by which we calculate the exchange rates. Your model comes with 2 exchange rate types that you can't delete:
  • Monthly Average
, which is the default for income statement accounts in the General Ledger account hierarchy. With monthly average, you can import the the average rate for each month.
  • End of Month
, which is the default for balance sheet accounts in the General Ledger account hierarchy.  With end of month, you can import the rate of the last day of the month.
You can add more types for your business needs. Example: You have cube accounts where you enter data quarterly.  You can add a quarterly average exchange rate.
You must import the exchange rates before we apply the rates to convert values.
  1. Select
    Modeling

  2. Click
    Currencies

  3. From the
    Exchange Rate Types

    setting of accounts.
  • As rows in the
    Currency Exchange Rates
