Create On-Prem Data Connectors

Create On-Prem Data Connectors

After you configure the On-Prem Data Connector Manager on your PC, you can create a new On-Prem Data Connector. You can associate an individual connector with one or more JDBC or scripted on-premises data sources.
You can use multiple On-Prem Data Connectors for the same database. Each connector can have different properties. Also, you can have connectors on different computers. Example: You might work at a company with people using Adaptive Planning Integration in offices across the country. Each worker could have an On-Prem Data Connector associated with a data source that brings the information into their computer.
  1. Select
    Integration
    Design Integrations
     from the main menu.
  2. Select
    On-Prem Data Connectors
     in the component library to view the list ofconnectorss.
  3. Select
    Create New On-Prem Data Connector
    .
  4. Select
    Provision the On-Prem Data Connector
    .
  5. Launch the On-Prem Data Connector Manager if you don't have it open already.
  6. Log in as an Adaptive Planning user with Data Designer permissions on your tenant.

  7. Select
    Provision a New On-Prem Data Connector
    .
  8. Provide your Adaptive Planning password.
  9. Select your tenant from the list.
    Usually, only one tenant appears. Each customer has a tenant with a dedicated database schema containing all of the configuration and data. A tenant is identical to the concept of an instance in the Adaptive Planning architecture.
  10. From the
    On-Prem Data Connector Name
     drop-down list, select the connector you want to provision.
  11. Select
    Provision
     and provide your Adaptive Planning password.
  12. Select
    OK
    .
    At this point, the On-Prem Data Connector can communicate with the on-premises source system and Adaptive Planning Integration.
  13. In the Data Designer, select
    Update Configuration
     to synchronize the connector-related properties in the cloud and the On-Prem Data Connector.
    • The in-memory AgentConfig instance object of the On-Prem Data Connector refreshes.
    • If a property is updated, the configuration in the connector device and the corresponding connector property in the cloud refresh.
