Top Toolbar

Every page in the model has the same toolbar across the top.
Toolbar at the top of your page with 5 number callouts.
Option
Description

Open the main navigation menu, where you can access different areas of the model.

Link back to where you've been. Example: If you're currently on the P&L sheet, click
Sheets
to go back to the sheets overview.

Select the version. Your default version is bold, and your admin sets your default version.

Open contextual product documentation topics.

Open the Notifications page, where you can view and manage notifications.

Open a drop-down menu from your profile avatar.

Main Navigation Menu

Depending on the permissions that you have, we display these main navigation menu options:
Option
Description
Sheets
View, enter, and update data on sheets. To set up and maintain your sheets, access the Modeling area from the main navigation menu.
Assumptions
View, enter, and update data on user-assigned sheets. To set up and maintain your assumption sheets, access the Modeling area from the main navigation menu.
Reports
Build, view, and share web reports that display data from your model.
Dashboards
View and build dashboards that contain charts and sheets. Modify dashboards, charts, and sheets for sales planning.
Scenarios
Create personal scenarios that are based on plan versions. Scenarios enable you to test changes before merging the changes into the version.
Announcements
View reports and other information that your administrator has shared.
Consolidation
View intercompany eliminations and create journal entries for businesses that have multiple organizations.
Processes
Collaborate with your team to complete your planning cycle using assigned process tasks.
The functionalities in this area relate to the legacy workflow and process tracker feature. We recommend that you uptake configurable workflows, a new framework that enables you to design, orchestrate, and execute planning cycles. You can create reusable workflow definitions using a graphical builder, assign tasks dynamically to users, user groups or associations, and manage the entire lifecycle within Hubs. This feature replaces the legacy workflow and process tracker. See Steps: Set Up Configurable Workflows.
Workflow
Approve and reject levels within plan versions and actuals.
The functionalities in this area relate to the legacy workflow and process tracker feature. We recommend that you uptake configurable workflows, a new framework that enables you to design, orchestrate, and execute planning cycles. Formulas
Maintain shared formulas for selected levels and versions.
Publish Plans
Publish financial or headcount plans from Adaptive Planning into Workday Financials (FINS) or Workday Human Capital Management (HCM).
Modeling
Set up and maintain your model, including your:
  • Versions and calendars.
  • Levels, custom dimensions, and attributes.
  • Accounts.
  • Sheets.
  • Machine learning.
  • Planning Center, which enables to you monitor usage and performance.
Administration
Maintain your:
  • Users and user groups.
  • Access and permission sets.
  • SAML SSO settings.
  • Multi-instance setup.
  • General system setup.
Integration
Manage and design integrations with external data sources, like:
  • Spreadsheets.
  • Databases.
  • On-premises sources.
  • Cloud sources.
Import or export data manually.
Support
Provide product feedback and get product support through product documentation, customer support, and training.
