Anomaly Detection Version Rename and Access

Anomaly Detection Version Rename and Access

Preview Date: 2026-10-16. Production Date: 2026-11-20.
We rename prediction versions to anomaly detection versions and allow administrators to have Full Access on anomaly detection versions.

Business Benefits

The new anomaly detection version name clarifies the version's use case and reduces confusion with the Predictive Forecaster feature. Administrator Full Access enables you to create override links for linked accounts and accounts with master formulas, expanding the range of accounts that can be used with anomaly detection.

Changes

On the
Versions
page in
Model Management
, we rename the prediction version type to anomaly detection. This change applies throughout the UI where this version type appears.
You can now set
Full Access
for
Administrators
in
Access Control
on anomaly detection versions. Full Access enables users with Administrator permissions to view and edit data for that version on sheets.
With Administrator Full Access, you can now create override links for anomaly detection versions on the accounts pages in
Model Management
for:
  • Linked accounts.
  • Accounts with master formulas.
Version override links enable these account types to support data entry, which allows you to configure them for Anomaly Detection.

What Do I Need to Do?

The terminology change from prediction to anomaly detection applies automatically. No configuration is required.
To use Administrator Full Access for anomaly detection versions, edit your version access controls on the
Versions
page in
Model Management
and select
Full Access
for the
Administrators
user type. For setup steps, see Lock, Archive, or Hide Versions with Version Access Controls.
To create version override links for linked accounts or accounts with master formulas, see Add Links or Link Overrides to Accounts.

What Happens if I do Nothing?

Existing anomaly detection versions (formerly labeled as prediction versions) continue to function with your current access control settings. The version type label updates automatically in the UI. If you don't set Administrator Full Access or create version override links, your current account configuration for Anomaly Detection remains unchanged.
