Set Up: Assignable Roles
domain in the Organization and Roles functional area.To enable sharing a dataset with another user or security group, you create tenant-specific roles that correspond to the dataset-related Workday provided roles. Sharing datasets is a way to control access to individual datasets.
- Access theMaintain Assignable Rolestask.
- Set up roles for these Workday-provided roles:Prism Dataset Owner,Prism Dataset Editor, andPrism Dataset Viewer.When you set up these tenant-specific roles, consider:
- The name you enter inRole Namebecomes the prompt value in thePermissioncolumn on theEdit Dataset Sharingtask.
- The security groups you select inRole Assignees Restricted todetermine which users and groups you can share a dataset with. Select user-based security groups for the Prism roles.
- The security groups you select inAssigned/Reviewed by Security Groupsdetermine which users can share a dataset.
