Example: Remove Managers from Standard Managers Access Control Group
This example illustrates how to remove people and segment managers from the standard Managers Access Control group, by using segment targeting.
From the first survey round, your organization is providing dashboard access to all managers, except for the managers in France. Your organization will schedule Peakon Employee Voice training for France at a later point, after which managers from France should be able to access their dashboards.
You must have a segment that contains all employees from France. Example: Country attribute that contains a France segment.
- Navigate to .
- Open theManagersgroup.
- ClickEdit.
- Set theExcludingsetting toFrance.
- ClickSave changes.
The Managers access group now excludes all managers whose value for the Country attribute is France. This means they can't use the privileges of this group until you remove the restriction. Additionally, a manager will regain their access if you remove the France value from the Country field on their employee record.
The exclusion doesn’t affect employees from France, who aren’t managers, because they were never part of the Managers access group.
After the France managers receive their training, you can follow the same steps, and remove France as a segment in step 4.
