Access Manager Dashboards Using Proxy View

Administrator access.
Proxy view enables administrators to view the
Insights
,
Analysis
 and
Improve
 dashboard areas from a manager’s perspective. This can help check permission settings and troubleshoot issues. To view a segment for analysis, search for the segment in the context switcher instead.
The proxy view functionality provides view-only access to members of the
Administrators
 access control group only.
The functionality doesn't support:
  • Shared dashboards.
  • Focus area management.
  • Comment interactions and management.
  • Actions management.
  • The
    Administration
     and
    Personal Dashboard
     areas.
  • Access to the manager’s notifications.
  • Access to the manager’s profile.
It's only possible to use proxy views on users that have the
Access to statistics
 permission enabled in an active access control group.
In rare cases, administrators using proxy view may see more data than they typically would in their regular session. Example: Administrators can see segments from restricted attributes if the manager can access them, even if the administrator doesn't have this permission enabled.
The proxy view functionality is intended for troubleshooting purposes. If administrators need to view a segment for analysis, we recommend that they search for the segment in the context switcher instead.
  1. Open your context switcher settings from any page.
  2. Click
    Proxy view.
  3. Select a manager.
  4. Click
    View dashboard
    .
The manager dashboard lands on the first page that the manager sees.
Click
Switch view
 to view another manager's dashboard or
Close proxy view
 to return to your own dashboard.
