Concept: Employment Status

When you create a new survey schedule, you must define the employment status. The
Employment status
setting decides whether surveys go to employees who are currently working or to those who have left. Once the schedule is created, you cannot change this selection.
  • Employed
: Targets active employees. This includes new hires, as well as employees who have resigned but are still working during their notice period.
  • Left
: Targets former employees. These individuals have left the company but can still receive surveys through their personal email address or mobile phone number. Recommended for
    Weekly
surveys to avoid repeat questions in Manual mode.
Both
Employment Status
and
Target Population
cannot be changed after a survey schedule is already created.
Surveys to former employees can be sent to either their personal email address or their primary mobile phone number. Peakon only supports one mobile phone field, so if a work number is synced instead of a personal number, the employee may not receive the survey.

Considerations

  • Employees must meet the eligibility criteria for the rules to receive questions.
  • The
    Inclusion of former employees
setting controls how long former employees’ responses remain in aggregated scores. The default is 3 months. We recommend setting it to 1 year when surveying exited employees.
  • The
    Deletion of former employees
setting removes employees after a defined period (Default: 90 days).
  • Estimated recipients may show as 0 when configuring a schedule if no employees currently meet the employment status or question timing rules.
