Set Question Targeting
Security:
Manage questions
.Typically the standard target of all questions is the company, in that all employees can receive all questions. Where needed, you can target questions to
Only include
or Excluding
certain segments. When including and excluding multiple segments, the exclusion works using "or" logic, so the targeting applies to any employee that meets any of the targets that you set.
It's also possible to set an overall target for the question while creating the question (instead of using the Only include or Exclude options). Setting the overall target to a segment enables you to set a twofold target by using the additional targeting options.
Example:
Target
is Marketing (Department), Excluding
Paris (Office Location) would send the question to all Marketing employees, except employees in Paris. It's not possible to change the overall target after you have set it, however it's always possible to change the
Only including
and Excluding
targets.Although it's not possible to deactivate the main question of each question set (Example: The NPS question), you can target the question to an empty segment as a workaround. Employees will not receive the question as long as the targeting remains. Note that if the main score doesn't have any valid responses within your company's visibility window, it's not possible to export the PowerPoint for that question set.
- Go to .
- Select the question set.
- Either add a new question or click the question that you want to edit.
- Set the target in theAdvancedsection.
The targeting is effective immediately. If you make this change during a live round, employees that already opened the survey without completing it might still see the old version due to browser cache.
