Reference: 2026 Question Library Updates

Workday Peakon is transitioning to a Flexible Listening Question model which provides greater simplicity and flexibility to our question model through a number of enhancements. The question library content is updated based on Workday’s latest research focused on expanding and restructuring the core question sets (Example: Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion, and Health & Wellbeing), moving towards greater flexibility for our product, where questions are used more freely and flexibly.
As part of the flexible listening question model, the core question sets now consists of 23 drivers, made up of 90 high-performing questions optimized for predictive power and better aligned to theory and measurement standards. You can read more about our question development and validation here.
For customers who had their Workday Peakon production instances created from the 31st March 2026 onwards, you will use the flexible listening question model and therefore have access to this updated question library, unless you opted out.
For customers who had their Workday Peakon production instance created before the 31st March 2026, you will continue to use the existing Workday Peakon Question model with the current question library, until we make it possible for you to upgrade to the flexible listening question model in the 26R2 and 27R1 release cycles.
For customers who are not yet upgraded to the Flexible listening question model, the question library updates will result in the below changes to the existing question library when you upgrade:
  • The retirement of 9 questions.
  • The retirement of 4 drivers.
  • 17 driver groupings with question related changes.
  • 3 new drivers
  • 26 new questions.
  • Question wording changes.
  • Driver name changes.
  • Question title changes.
Where questions and drivers are to be retired, you might be able to use our existing functionality to recreate the questions and drivers to obtain historical data.
