FAQ: Survey Questions Refresh
This topic relates to the December 2023 update where we reworded 23 standard questions across the Engagement and Health & Wellbeing question sets.
- Which questions sets does the refresh apply to?
- This option will be available for theEngagementandHealth and Wellbeingquestion sets. We only reword the standard questions, the upgrade won't impact your Custom driver questions, Open-ended questions or any custom questions that you've created on the core question sets.
- How can I update to the latest questions?
- Follow the steps outlined on Update Question Set With Question Refresh.
- Does the new questions retain the same benchmark data as their previous iterations?
- Yes. The new questions are reworded versions of the same question and retain the same benchmark data.
- I would like to keep some of the old questions, will those still have the benchmark?
- Yes, if you don't update the questions, the previous questions will still have a benchmark.Peakon doesn't update questions that have a custom translation or an added targeting. If you wish to update only some of the questions, edit the questions that you'd like to keep either with a custom translation or a target prior to clicking onUpgrade Questions.
- How do I keep an old question without editing its content?
- If you don't want to update a custom translation or add a specific target to a question to prevent it from updating, you can make a simple edit. Example: Remove a period from a custom translation of a language you don't use. Peakon will identify that this question has a customized translation and prevent its update.
- When updating the questions, will there be any impact to any previous survey results?
- There will be no impact on historical results. Once the questions are updated, both versions of the question will be viewable in dashboards and heat maps within the validity window. Outside the validity window historical results will be visible on heat maps when viewing past rounds.
- Why can I still view the previous questions on my dashboard even after upgrading the questions?
- The old version of each question will continue to display in manager, shared, and personal dashboards until its survey data is outside the visibility window (3, 6, or 12 months in survey time, depending on your settings). From there, the old questions will only be visible when displaying historical survey data.
- What impact this upgrade has on deactivated questions?
- The upgrade won't activate any questions that you've deactivated.
- When the questions are updated, will they appear on the heat map?
- The new questions have a separate trendline: each version will have its own dashboard and Score over time graph. Results for the new questions might take longer to populate on the heat map if there's not enough aggregated data, particularly if your organisation is on a low cadence.
- Is it possible to view the translated version of the new questions prior to the update?
- You can request a demo environment with the updated questions and view the new version of each question and their translations there. It is not possible to view the updated questions on your production tenant if you do not wish to carry on with the question refresh.
