Peakon Attributes Terminology Alignment with Workday

Coming Soon.
We will update several attribute names in Workday Peakon Employee Voice to align with standard Workday terminology. This alignment provides a more seamless experience and improves data consistency for customers using both Peakon and the broader Workday suite.
We are renaming key employee attributes across the Peakon dashboard, API, and presentations to match Workday terminology. To ensure a seamless transition, we have added
aliases
for the previous names. Example: Excel uploads using the column header "Separation date" will still successfully import into the new
Termination date
attribute. The renaming only applies to attributes mapped to standards and named
Separation date
or
Start date
. We will not rename:
  • Attributes not mapped to a standard attribute.
  • Attributes where you have set a custom name (Example: "
    Stop date"
    mapped to the
    Separation date
    standard attribute).
The following naming conventions and attributes are updated in the Peakon user interface and translations:
  • Start Date
    is now
    Hire Date
    .
  • Separation Date
    is now T
    ermination Date
    .
  • Separation Reason
    is now
    Termination Reason
    .
  • Phrases such as "after starting" or "before starting" are now "after
    hiring
    " or "before
    hiring
    ."
  • References to "leaving" or "separation" are now "
    termination
    ."
  • References to "tenure" are now "
    hire date
    " in specific dashboard contexts.

Machine Translation Disclaimer

Feature.
Workday Peakon delivers a new information icon and disclaimer on the survey landing page to inform users about the use of machine translation for a number of non-English languages. We also update the user Profile page to include these translation details under the language settings.
This enhancement helps you comply with transparency requirements by clearly setting expectations for users regarding translations.
We add a new
information ('i')
icon immediately beside the language selector on the survey landing page for both desktop and mobile devices. When users hover over or click the icon, this new disclaimer appears: "Languages other than English may be provided via machine translation. Refer to the Help Centre for more information.".
Additionally, we update the
Profile
page to include this string under the
Languages and time zones
section.
