Sentiment Labeling Enhancements

Workday updates the logic behind the Sentiment labeling on Topics and Themes in Workday Peakon Employee Voice to provide more accurate and precise classification.
We update the logic behind the Sentiment labeling in Topics and Themes. The criteria for extreme labels (Example: mostly negative, mostly positive, etc.) have been tightened so they only apply to a heavy majority.
This change applies going forward and will not retroactively alter past rounds. As a result, you may notice a shift in your theme sentiment trends (Example: fewer extreme topics and more mixed/slight topics), so please keep this in mind when comparing current results to historical data.

Participation by Question Set

With this release, we enhance the transparency and accuracy of participation data within Workday Peakon to better support customers using both continuous listening and rule-based Moments that Matter survey strategies.
We now provide granular, question set-specific participation metrics alongside global figures across the dashboard, Heatmap, and PowerPoint exports.
Dashboards and Insights
  • We replace existing participation info on the
    Curated Insights
page with global participation metrics to provide managers with better organizational context.
  • On
    Question Set dashboards
, we now separate participation into distinct cards for question set-specific metrics and overall global aggregate participation.
  • We add new metrics for:
    • (Question Set) Latest Round participation
    • (Question Set) Aggregated participation
    • (Question Set) Score Accuracy
  • The
    "X out of Y Employees"
(Example: 5 out of 10 Employees) count now displays on the question set participation card to clarify exactly who is included in the specific metric. The definition of the “X” value adjusts automatically based on the page context:
    • On driver, sub-driver, and question pages, the X number represents the number of employees who actively submitted a score.
    • On the main question set page, the X number represents the total number of survey recipients who either submitted a score or skipped the question.
  • We update the Information (
    i
) slide panel with a revised
    Score calculation
tab that explains the difference between question set and global metrics.
Heat Map and Reporting
  • We deliver new
    Global Latest Round participation
    and
    Global Aggregated participation
metrics on the Heatmap, accessible through a new participation toggle.
  • You can now view
    Latest Round participation
    and
    Aggregated participation
data filtered by specific question sets on the Heatmap.
  • PowerPoint exports now include question set-specific participation figures and a new slide summarizing overall participation numbers with helpful explanatory text.
