Flexible Listening Question Model
Workday delivers the new flexible listening question model for Workday Peakon Employee Voice to provide a more adaptable and research-driven approach to employee engagement.
We simplify the underlying question structure and scoring methodology, introducing a consolidated question library and enhanced scheduling capabilities that allow you to customize your listening strategy.
Question Model and Methodology
We deliver a simplified question model where all questions within a driver are equal.
- A single Scoring Methodology: Driver scores will be calculated as a straight average of employee scores.
- Question Identification: We now provide a unique title for all questions to improve clarity.
- Updated Terminology: We update the product terminology to use "questions" and "question titles" instead of sub-drivers.
- Retirement: We retire the Separate scoring mode. An official Retirement will be announced.
Flexible Foundation and Scheduling
We deliver several enhancements to help you customize how you gather feedback:
- Algorithm Improvements: We simplify the algorithm by removing main question and sub-driver frequency requirements.
- Question Frequency: You can now control individual question frequency or choose not to ask specific questions within a schedule.
- Customizable Titles: You can now provide unique titles for both standard and custom questions.
Question Library Enhancements
We update the question library (secured to the Self-Service: Peakon Configuration domain) with 90 high-performing questions organized into 23 refined categories.
- New Content: We add 26 new questions and introduce 3 net-new driver groupings.
- Updates: We update wording and titles for some existing questions and categories to reflect current research.
- Retirement: We retire 9 questions and 4 drivers from the standard library. An official Retirement will be announced.
Note
: These enhancements are automatically available for Peakon production instances created on or after March 31, 2026. What Happens if I do Nothing?
Existing customers will continue to see the traditional hierarchy of sub-drivers and outcomes until they choose to upgrade or until the mandatory migration period is reached. A predetermined grace period will be provided before all customers are eventually moved to the simplified question model to ensure platform consistency.
